How To Lean Out NOW

The best way by far to lean out is to add intensity to your workout. So many of us go to the gym for 45 mins to an hour but we don’t push hard when we’re there. Be sure not to push too hard and build up slowly but understand there’s true benefit in gradually adding a bit more intensity to your workouts if you want to lean out more.

Lean Out Tip #1:

Try to add some light intervals to your cardio. This can be in the form of 30 seconds at a slightly quicker pace and then backing off for 1.5-2 mins. It can also be in the form of raising the incline if you’re not suited to running a bit faster.

Lean Out Tip #2:

Try to find and exercise or two where you can lift a little more weight. It’s ok if you can’t do as many reps. Cutting the reps back a bit is fine if it’s for the sake of getting a bit more intensity. In the end, the raised intensity will be more beneficial.

You only have 3 ways to make exercise more beneficial: frequency, intensity and duration. Of the 3, intensity is the most powerful. Go slowly but if you’re healthy and in shape, you can add a tiny bit more intensity to parts of your workout.

Lean Out Tip #3:

Look for a meal during the week that’s consistently poor and improve it. Instead of trying to reshape your entire diet, just start with one meal. If you always skip your afternoon snack and you’re starving by dinner, work on finding some healthy options for that time of day.
